At the Showcase, DAS presents a pair of back-to-back desks from the Optima o12 range of trading desks.

One desk is an electrically height adjustable sit-stand desk with a range between 680mm to 1340mm, which is operated by a programmable controller located under the work surface to the right hand side of the user. The other desk is a fixed version, set at the prescribed sitting working height of 740mm. The quick-release sliding work surface features a molded PU leading edge with ergonomic waterfall detail facing the user. As an integral part of the top frame of the desk, a pair of management rails runs along the full length of the rear section. These provide an incredibly string and rigid position to locate the NEC screen monitors.

On the sit-stand desk, a cable tray is located at a high level under the rear section of the sliding work surface, in to which the power sockets for the flat screen monitors are positioned. At the lower level between the legs is a full width cable tray that contains the cable track to link the upper and lower trays and also to accommodate additional power sockets of required. A 2-part ventilation grille is located along the centre between the pair of desks, through which heat is dissipated from the CPUs located in the lockable cupboards located below the work surface. Each desk has a single CPU cabinet, which contains a trolley with a swipe-in track to manage all power & data cables. This cabinet can be removed and placed with full-access doors at a later stage if required. This would be necessary if more than 1 CPU is required per person.
The management rails support a selection of posts and arms taken from the CBS and Humanscale ranges of ergonomic accessories. There is a wide variety of options available depending upon the configuration of screens required. The management rails can also support individual desktop personal power and data modules, which provide power and data from clean and dirty sources. The configuration of sockets can be customized as required by the user.
All items are finished in white color and the desk is fully compliant with the relevant sections of the ergonomic requirements of EN527.
