NEC supporting Sense

The AV industry’s nominated charity, Sense, is the leading national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind. NEC Display Solutions is committed to supporting Sense and is active in raising vital funds to support the work of the charity in improving the lives of people not able to experience the Audio Visual communication we enjoy in our own lives, every day.

As the world of AV gathers in London for the NEC Showcase and London Digital Signage Week, this presents an excellent opportunity for us to highlight the work of Sense and gear up the fundraising!

Layla Anna-Lee

Supporting Sense, television presenter and broadcaster Layla Anna-Lee will be talking about the charity and the difference it makes in the lives of deafblind people and their families. It is particularly appropriate for Layla to appear at this year’s Showcase as she was the voice of The London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony.

Michael Hutchinson

Michael Hutchinson is a British racing cyclist and writer who has represented Great Britain and Northern Ireland at various events including the Commonwealth Games. Michael attends the Showcase working to raise awareness for Sense.

Find out what it might be like to be deafblind. Some of the Sense charity’s deafblind ambassadors will demonstrate the Ultrabike and a three-wheeler bike specifically designed for deafblind cyclists. Try out the hole-in-one blindfolded golf! You can find out more about Sense and how you can support the charity further by visiting Sense.

Please be generous in your donations at the NEC Showcase and after the event you can continue to support Sense via Virgin Money Giving, donations will be quickly processed and passed to Sense. You can Gift Aid your donation to help more funds reach the charity: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/NECsupportingSense.
