Extron

Extron Electronics is a leading manufacturer of professional AV system integration products, including AV control systems, computer-video interfaces, switchers, matrix switchers, distribution amplifiers, audio amplifiers, speakers, twisted pair and fiber optic equipment, videowall processors, video signal processors, AV streaming products, classroom sound field systems, and high resolution cable.

In the Corporate zone, together with TeamMate UK, Extron demonstrates the TeamWork™ 601i digital collaborative AV solution. The TeamMate WorksZone combines contemporary furniture designs with cutting edge technology such as TeamWork from Extron, creating a self-sufficient environment for the connected world.  Centred around Extron’s new Cable Cubby Series/2 with new MPS 601 switcher, this solution now supports DisplayPort. The Extron TeamWork System is a complete, pre-configured digital collaboration system for groups of up to six users. TeamWork enables users to collaborate where all participants can easily share their laptop or tablet onto a large screen. Users can bring any type of device to the meeting with either VGA, HDMI or DisplayPort connectivity. No software needs to be installed; it is just plug and present.

TeamWork system operation is simple and intuitive. Connect the "Show Me" cable to a laptop or tablet to start the system. As soon as a signal is detected, power is automatically directed to the display. By pressing the "Share" button, the switcher automatically selects the appropriate input, the content is displayed on the screen and the button lights for easy identification. The TeamMate WorksZone provides the perfect furniture solution for Extron TeamWork.  Control hardware can be easily integrated and hidden out the way, with cable and connectivity management, leaving the “Show Me” cables available for ease of connection, providing a seamless integration solution.

In the Education Zone, Extron is demonstrating a teaching application where teachers can annotate over their presentation materials and stream their lecture to several remote locations. Educators and teachers can annotate with the Extron Annotator 300 regardless of the type of AV sources they use – analog or digital. The teacher has full access to the annotation tools on a local preview touchscreen display. The Annotator allows the presenter to draw, point, or add text to electronic presentation materials using a touchscreen and/or a keyboard and mouse.  The annotated content is streamed to remote locations using the Extron SME 100 streaming media encoder and decoded with the Extron SMD 101 H.264 streaming media decoder. The contentcan be viewed on a variety of devices such as laptops, PCs, tablets. This solution is ideal for applications that require real-time annotations over high resolution PC and video graphics combined with distance learning.

In the Transportation zone Extron is showing a Traffic Centre videowall application with content via streaming encoders and decoders. Quantum Elite provides a failsafe, 24/7 operational reliable videowall processor for quickly and easily presenting many high quality video sources on a videowall. Content from the traffic situation around the country can easily be routed to workstations in the control room, to the large videowall in various layouts or even remote control rooms via streaming over IP encoders and decoders. The VN-Matrix® 250 Series encoders and decoders provides real-time transmission of high resolution HDCP-compliant HDMI, DVI, or RGB video across standard IP networks for use in real-time streaming, recording, and playback applications.  The routing of the content on the videowall is easily performed with an Extron Pro Series configurable control system.
